My copay money would've been better spent flushing it down the toilet. He was not professional and lacks social skills or compassion. Made me feel both incredibly worried and like my issue couldn't matter in the least. He was rushed which was probably a good thing since I couldn't handle another minute in there. When I asked about the possibility of an open MRI because of claustrophobia, he made me feel ridiculous and his advice was to "take a couple xanax or something", to which I responded by letting him know I was an addict. As the conversation continued, I told him I'd figure it out and he told me to just take a couple of "shots" before the MRI and I had to remind him that I was sober so he offered a generic apology and said he'd light incense in a condescending tone. I'm not entirely sure how great of a surgeon he is, but I imagine someone with his level of education and specialty should bear some semblance of professionalism and compassion.

Dr. Gonzalez Ramos and his team were very kind. Both the surgery and the recovery process went smoothly.
