Dr. Allison Boemer, MD

I am a 71 year old male and deserve more respect than what I received recently. I have a long history of kidney issues along with stones, UTI's and a bladder/prostate problems. On my bladder issue, she described it one way at first and then revised the problem description. Then put me on 2 different prescriptions to help with bladder issue. A year later, I have been having issues with extreme pain in around the right kidney and when I pee it hurts and feels like electricity flowing down to my bladder and being painful has caused me numerous times to violently throw up. I went to ER two days in a row and they said no kidney stones and labs looked good, but no further testing or evaluation done. They said to stop the Oxybutynin, which Dr. Boemer put me on. I then got an appointment with Boemer on short notice and she dismissed my pain with urination and constant pain in kidney area along with bladder. This is not to speak of vomiting when I pee and and feel like I'm going to collapse. My… companion had Dr. Boemer as well and had UTI issues and needed help. Dr. Boemer placed her on a drug called Myrbetriq thinking it would help some of her issues. Her UTI's were getting more frequent and harder to resolve, until she was so bad she was rushed to hospital in a ambulance and was admitted for 8 days where she almost died. The doctor in the hospital pulled her off the Myrbetriq immediately and said it was contributing to the UTI's. After that she has been pretty good for last year. Long story short, as of 12/07/23 both of us have discontinued our association with Dr. Allison Boemer due to lack of professionalism and not to do further evaluation with her not knowing for sure what is causing issues. It is not going away and I will be fun for the Holidays. She needs to listen more to her patients and not dismiss a problem because she doesn't see it. We don't see God, but yet we believe. If only doctors felt that way of their patients.

This “doctor” has the bedside manners of a barbarian, she had a temper tantrum and threw equipment across the room yelling “I can’t do this anymore, I’m not doing this”, everyone has a bad day but this was extreme.

I first saw Dr. Boemer when I was diagnosed with kidney stones. Having never experienced this issue before, I found her very knowledgable and patient in helping me to understand the potential causes and treatments available. We ultimately decided that a Lithotripsy would be a good treatment for my problem, and within about one week I was treated with excellent results. Due to my visit to Dr. Boemer it was discovered that I had other issues that were keeping me from feeling more healthy, and she has been very good in helping me to find and pursue treatments. Dr. Boemer has an excellent understanding of the issues I have dealt with, is very thorough in her explanations, and has great attention to the little details that have made me feel confident in her abilities. I highly recommend he if you are in need of the services she provides!
