Dr. Varma is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and provides comprehensive patient centered medical care in Northern Virginia.  He is a native of the Washington DC Metro area.  He graduated Cum Laude from George Mason University with a Bachelor in Science in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.  He graduated with honors and obtained a doctorate degree in medicine from Ross University School of Medicine, Miami, Florida in 2009.  He completed his internship training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and Residency training at Icahn School of Medicine from New York in 2014. 

Dr. Varma has near a decade of experience working in acute care, primary care and skilled nursing facilities as a Hospitalist/Internist in the state of New York and Virginia.  His focus of research has been Chronic Hepatitis B and Inflammatory Bowel Disease.  Dr. Varma has co-authored a case report published in Chest Journal on Dengue Shock Syndrome in 2015. 

Doctor Varma believes in a complete healthcare plan for the patient which includes physical, mental, social and spiritual health.  He aims to provide highest quality care and spend time getting to know his patient’s on an individual level.
