Dr. Kavya Moravineni, MD

Dr.Moravineni is very kind and patient with me during my appointment. She took time to do a detail exam by spending time with me asking lot of questions and doing different tests. In my opinion she is the best in Peoria area. I saw few other physicians, before I consulted her after one of my relative's recommendation, she is the best. I will definitely recommend to anyone who has neurological problems, she is very caring and compassionate.

After having been diagnosed and treated for a specific movement disorder for two years, I was referred to Dr. Moravineni for specialized care. She promotes herself as a specialist in this area of medicine. During my first, (and last), appointment with her she conducted the time more like a psychiatric consultation than a specialized physical exam. As an aside, I discovered later that she is a psychiatrist, as well as a neurologist; which helped make sense of this part. The part of this appointment which made NO sense was when Dr. Moravineni informed me that she didn't think that I even had the disorder for which I was being seen! This "expert" opinion came after a few minutes of her asking unusual questions, doing the basic neuro exam, and an extremely limited exam of diagnostic symptoms. She did act in a kind and professional manner. Overall, though, she wasted my time, money, and my hopes of being treated for a debilitating disorder! I later saw one of her colleagues, who doesn't… "specialize" in the group of disorders in which mine falls. This doctor immediately diagnosed me with the original diagnosis and continues to treat me for it. I'm glad not all of the doctors in the same medical group are not as incompetent as she. This was my experience. She may, or may not, do well diagnosing and treating other diseases/ disorders.

Dr.M is an excellent physician, very caring and patient. Would highly recommend her for Neurology related issues..
