Dr. Yasmin Ali O Keefe, MD

Dr. Ali provides appalling medical care.

I wouldn't even trust Dr. Ali or her nurse to take care of my Pet Rock. They are the definition of the phrase "worse than useless".

Among polite and discerning people, Dr. Ali can be described as a rinky dink doctor. She is hazardous to your health. Also, her nursing staff are unpleasant and dangerously useless.

If she treated her patients like fellow human beings, that would be a step in the right direction.

The only thing this trainee doctor cares about is her career advancement. When serious problems arise, she gives up and tosses her patients into the bin. They are then left to fend for themselves. Therefore, I wouldn't trust this doctor's diagnosis even as far as you could throw a wet mattress up a spiral staircase. This site awards stars. The opposite of a star is a black hole. If I could, I would award this doctor five black holes.

This doctor, along with her nurse Danielle, is reactive, not pro-active, to medical problems. In other words, she likes to leave things until the last second, when you're likely to find yourself in the emergency room or ICU. Then she plays roulette, the Russian kind, with the treatment plan and your life. If you're lucky enough to survive, she might see you again in 2/3 year's time for a follow up evaluation. This behavior is unprofessional and unethical.

Is careless and couldn't care less.

Dr. Ali and her sidekick nurse Danielle obviously subscribe to the perverse medical philosophy that half the people they treat are too sick to save, and the other half aren't worth it. That's why Ali's medical degree and temporary license aren't even worth the scraps of paper they're printed on. The only way she's going to help people or save lives is if those scraps of paper are revoked.

This unprofessional. untrustworthy doctor practices the opposite of preventive medicine. She ignores the patient's symptom until the problem spirals dangerously out of control. The patient then finds herself in the hospital emergency room with an acute, life-threatening disaster. I witnessed this first hand. My advice to all current and prospective patients is this: abandon hope all ye who visit the Illinois Neurological Institute.

The last time I looked, this "doctor" had only a temporary permit to practice medicine. I discovered the hard way that if you are ill, you are better off diagnosing yourself. Don't count on any of the other physicians or staff members either. OSF is employing some pretty dodgy characters at its Illinois Neurological Institute. In fact, I believe INI really stands for "I'm Not Interested". In addition, these people are not knowledgable about the ailments and symptoms of the elderly. Do yourself a favor and stay away.
