Dr. Timothy Bruce Alton, MD

Dr. Alton did my left hip replacement in 2024. I am very satisfied with the surgery and the outcome. I came back to him for the right hip replacement in January 2026. The surgery went very smoothly. I was in the operation room only for 2-3 hours. Today is my post of surgery day #5, I am able to walk around with a cane. Dr. Alton deserves a 5 stars rating. I will definitely recommend Dr. Alton to my friends who in need for hip surgery.

Dr. Alton was thorough in his explanation of my condition. He patiently listened to my questions regarding surgical options which made me feel more confident to proceed to knee surgery with him.

After a second opinion referral, I could not be happier that I landed with Dr. Alton. My knee replacement was complicated by a previous injury but Dr. Alton was confident and reassuring that he could successfully perform the operation with very little invasive disruption to existing hardware. I’m now three days post op and have minimal swelling and very little bruising. Pain has been a struggle but expected. I would recommend Dr. Alton one thousand percent!

Easy to understand gives clear instructions. Very helpful in dealing with some unusual post surgery nerve pain. Great socks.

My left hip replacement could not have gone more smoothly. My pain level dropped dramatically from the day I had my outpatient surgery. Dr. Alton listens intently and I truly appreciate his bedside manner which is lighthearted and caring. I never felt rushed or marginalized and I firmly believe him when he said I am so happy to help you live without that horrible pain. I had been suffering from hip pain from a botched hip revision, performed by a Kaiser surgeon for 6 years. I saw a surgeon at Swedish Orthopedic 2 years ago who discouraged me from another revision. When we finally found Dr. Alton he cheerfully said "I can help you". The surgery was 2 months ago, today I can walk almost unaided, without a limp and without PAIN for the first time in 6 years. Dr. Alton is very trustworthy, genuine and personable. His energy and bedside manner is at least 5 stars. His communication skills far exceeded my expectations as did the work he performed. I had both hips replaced 4 months apart. Now I have no pain and back to normal like I was when I was a young lad. Thank you Dr. Alton for giving me my mobility and life back. I needed to have both of my hip replacements removed and new ones put in. My surgeries were extensive and complicated. Dr. Alton's knowlege got me through it and on the road to feeling better and being active again. I would recommend him to anyone needing a hip specialist. He is the best.
