Listening to a family friend and getting my ACL replacement with Dr. Seidner was the most unfortunate decision I've made in my life. I've undergone three follow up surgeries to repair his shoddy job, including an entire new ACL replacement on the same knee - not because the graft wasn't intact (it was), but because the initial placement was so off that I needed to do the whole procedure, again, plus additional supportive procedures, like bone resurfacing and microfracture, to repair the damage caused by this poor initial job. Though the bad surgery is a definite shame, it was his personal style that really made him the worst possible choice of surgeon. I told him about issues I was having at my first follow-up appointment, and because Dr. Seidner bullied me and shamed my tolerance for pain rather than consider what I was saying (I was only 14), it took me **11 years** to regain my trust in myself and my own perceptions about my body and go see another surgeon about my complaints.… Three surgeries later, at 27 I was told that this is as good as it gets until I get the knee replacement I'll eventually need. Even worse than having/rehabbing four painful surgeries where one should have worked, the 11 years it took me to get my confidence back were spent limping on a horribly swollen knee. Over time these muscular imbalances manifested into pretty serious back problems, which I've spent tons of money treating and years of my life in near constant pain. I'm 30 years old, I've had 4 knee surgeries and about 10 years of chiropractic care, and all this because Dr. Seidner performed a subpar surgery, then bullied me rather than listen to me when he asked how it felt. The cost to my bones, eventually my back, my finances, my life in sports, the quality of my sleep, my confidence advocating for myself, have been so much greater than I ever imagined could have come from a simple ACL replacement. Save yourself the trouble, and see someone else. Choosing Dr. Seidner as my surgeon completely changed my life, and if you can avoid this same mistake, I strongly recommend you do.

Had three surgeries with Dr Seidner related to my Tibea Plateau fracture (broken through the knee). Generally those went fairly well. A year later, I had a fall water skiing and the same knee swelled to the size of about a cantaloupe. This happened in Eastern Washington while on vacation. I couldn’t sleep with the pain, so at 4am I drove three hours to his office so they could work me in sometime during the days schedule. He REFUSED to even examine or X-ray the knee even though I was willing to wait. No other doctor in the group was willing to see me either. When I asked what I was supposed to do, the PA suggested I go to an ER or find another doctor. I did find a doctor at the UW, the knee was fractured again, and the swelling was drained then and there for immediately relief. As a dentist, I found this reprehensible...I would NEVER refuse to see a patient with an obvious emergent need. I would recommend going to someone else as there are many good orthopedic surgeons in the Seattle… region.

Incredibly attentive, assured, and personable. Clearly a professional with great personal skills... What a reassuring experience!

Dr. Seidner never made me feel rushed. He always took the time to explain everything that happened/was going to happen and to make sure all of my questions were answered. Great bedside manner and a skilled surgeon! The office staff are great, too.
