Dr. Monica B Tiscione, PhD

Monica Tiscione was highly unprofessional when I began seeing her. I sought the help of a psychologist after my 4.5 year relationship ended. I told her during my first appointment that my ex and the relationship were extremely emotionally and mentally abusive. She stated that she needed the whole view of what happened and asked me to bring my ex in. I told her I did not feel comfortable with this, as we had not spoken since I had moved out. She indicated it was necessary for my treatment. My ex surprisingly agreed and when I asked her if she wanted me to bring them to my next appointment, she told me it was fine but "If you told them that I wanted them there instead of owning it yourself, try to figure out why." when I specifically told her I did not want them there. She was not at all on my side during the appointment and spoke primarily to my ex about what happened. I felt bullied by the both of them for the entire appointment. I did not go to any other appointments with her after… this incident. Years later after deciding to try therapy again (with a fantastic therapist!) was when I found out how unethical Monica Tiscione's methods were. I sincerely hope she is not still practicing, as this could be extremely damaging behavior.
