Dr. Samar Harris , MD

Dr Harris always takes time to listen to me and she spends time asking the right questions to find out what my health problems are. Her feed back is always soothing and great. She makes one feel like a family and even called to explain my conditions to me. She is a very special kind of Doctor. Festus

Send a personal letter that said because I refused testing I would be not reached out to for help anymore. (She personally performed the tests she said I refused less then 6 months prior to the letter) the letter was conveniently send one week after a review was left on Google.

Amazing bedside manner. Very knowledgeable and she not only addressed my GI symptoms qnd scheduled me for appropriate testing but she also addressed some non-GI issues and is helping me seek treatment for those problems as well. I was so pleased with her care that I am now taking my child to see her. By far the best gastroenterologist I've ever seen!

I felt that I had received excellent care from this doctor until I became an inpatient. I was admitted to Clements last week after months of severe GI distress, and Dr. Harris was my attending physician. There was a lack of good communication between her and other physicians working with me, as well as trouble with communication between her and I. My stay was inconclusive, I am still in great pain, and she blatantly walked out of the room after my mother came in and expressed her feelings about my lack of care. I was treated as if my marijuana use was the reason for all of my issues, and she cut my pain medication in half, and then took it away completely without communicating it whatsoever to me. Those of you who have bowel issues know how debilitating gut pain can be, and her approach was absolutely cruel. I understood my need to come off of narcotics as they could have worsened my issue, but she gave me no other adequate alternatives and I spent hours writhing in pain with no option… for relief. She was obviously overworked and became very short and rude with me. I ended up having to ask to be discharged after my neurological symptoms flared up from distress and she stopped trying to help me. Unless you have a diagnosed issue with a clear treatment plan, I do not recommend this doctor. She loses her patience too quickly and did not go in the right direction with my care, leaving me in more pain and more scared than I was before I came into the hospital.

I was lied to multiple times. I filed complain and Dr. Harris lied about complaints.
