I saw Dr. Hwang for routine cataract surgery. We discussed my surgery beforehand and the plan was to make me farsighted with perhaps reading glasses. I ended up with intermediate vision with my focus of clarity 20 inches in front of my face and everything else not in focus. Post operative I could not understand why my environment was out of focus and Dr. Hwang never told me that the surgery did not go as intended. Instead he told me I have 20/20 vision. I saw a private optometrist who refracted my eye and that was when I learned about the mistake. I'll look for a different surgeon to operate on my other eye.
