Dr. Halima Malkia Daboiko, MD

My experience with Dr. Dr. Daboiko during labor and delivery was one of the most traumatic parts of my birth experience. After I declined an epidural and later declined a proposed C-section, her entire demeanor toward me changed. Her bedside manner became cold, hostile, and dismissive, and it was clear my medical choices were not being respected. Rather than honoring my right to make informed decisions about my own body and birth plan, Dr. Dr. Daboiko repeatedly challenged my “no” and would not accept my refusal without argument or pressure. She mockingly stated that “getting medical advice from TikTok doesn’t count” and aggressively questioned where I was getting my information simply because I expressed hesitation about certain interventions. Instead of educating me respectfully, she belittled and mocked me for being informed and wanting autonomy in my care. Most disturbing, Dr. Dr. Daboiko asked my husband to leave the room during active labor because she wanted to determine if he… was influencing my decisions. This stripped me of my support person during one of the most vulnerable moments of my life and left me feeling isolated, intimidated, and emotionally unsafe. No laboring woman should ever be separated from her chosen advocate simply for standing firm in her medical decisions. She also became confrontational toward my husband and aggressively questioned whether he was recording, escalating the situation unnecessarily and creating an even more hostile environment. A doctor’s role is to provide care, guidance, and support—not intimidation, coercion, or ridicule. Dr. Dr. Daboiko made an already difficult labor experience significantly more traumatic through her lack of compassion, poor bedside manner, and disregard for patient autonomy. I would strongly caution any expectant mother to advocate fiercely for herself if under her care.

She was very rude. I transferred out of her care fairly quickly. I would not recommend her.

Prompt, curteous, smart, friendly, obviously cares about her patients. Comes in on her days off to deliver/check on patients
