Dr Wenya Linda Bi, MD

A little over three months ago, I underwent skull base surgery to remove a benign brain tumor (a meningioma). Today, I am alive, healing, and deeply grateful - all because of Dr. Bi, her incredible fellow Dr. Torio, and their compassionate and skilled team. When I was first diagnosed, I met with several neurosurgeons. Every single one left me feeling hopeless until I met Dr. Bi. From our first conversation, she saw me, not just my scans. She gave me hope, explained everything clearly, and treated me with such humanity that I immediately knew I was in the right hands. What followed was extraordinary. What was expected to be a two-day operation, she completed in a 17-hour marathon surgery, ensuring every part of the tumor was removed safely. Her skill, stamina, and dedication quite literally saved my life. Because of her, I get to be a mother, a professional, and a human being again, carrying both a titanium plate and the deepest gratitude imaginable. Her fellow, Dr. Torio, was… equally remarkable, kind, attentive, and patient with every question and concern. The nursing staff, surgical team, and everyone in the unit treated me like family during the most vulnerable days of my life. There are truly no words big enough to capture the gratitude I feel for this team. But I hope my story encourages anyone facing the unthinkable to know that there is hope, and that hope might just be found in the hands of Dr. Bi and her incredible team. If you or a loved one ever need neurosurgical care, please do not lose faith until you meet her. She is not just a gifted surgeon. She is a healer, an advocate, and a light in the darkest hour.

Dr. Bi is truly an extraordinary doctor. Her profound knowledge is complemented by an unwavering commitment to her patients’ well-being. Her kindness and empathy extend beyond medical expertise. I come from another country, and Dr. Bi thoroughly reviewed all my MRIs spanning 30 years of my life and has been working on the best decision for my care. I would also like to express my heartfelt appreciation to her Physician Assistant, McCaela Sullivan. I cannot overstate my admiration for Dr. Bi and McCaela. They are dedicated to healing and uplifting those in their care. My sincerest thanks for the exceptional care and the positive impact they have made on my life.

Within five minutes of meeting Dr Bi, I felt reassured and that she understood the emotions I was experiencing as I prepared for a scary and difficult surgery. She was with me every step of the way, before and after surgery, and made sure I felt comfortable and informed. She is both professional and comforting.

I recently had a surgery with Dr Bi and can confirm she is not only a very talented surgeon, but an incredible communicator.
