Dr. Adrian Fernandez grew up in San Francisco and spent most of his time upside down as a competitive gymnast. For college, Dr. Fernandez attended Stanford University, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Phi Betta Kappa honor society. He attended medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, where he discovered and came to love urology. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society upon graduation, then pursued residency at UCSF.
In residency, Dr. Fernandez developed surgical expertise managing cancers and benign conditions of the urinary and male reproductive tracts. He dedicated a year to research and authored many original articles on a range of urologic problems - sexual dysfunction, prostate cancer, urinary stone disease, and ebike-related trauma. His work was featured in JAMA Network journals and garnered national media attention.
