Dr. Brandon Neil Sims

Sims is a joke of a dentist. Sims told me I needed to replace my old fillings with new fillings. I reluctantly agreed. One of the worst decisions of my life. Sims screwed up the new fillings badly; anything hot or cold would touch nerves. So Sims had to drill out all of the new fillings, and then again put in new fillings. HE SCREWED IT UP AGAIN. To make matters worse, I called and left him a detailed message AND faxed his office with a detailed account of his screwups; he called me back and said flippantly, "I'll be glad to buff it out for you!" In other words, he didn't even reply to what the actual problem was. This guy should have his license revoked. He's a pompous A** who tries to act cool. I now go to a different dentist, and tell everyone I know to avoid Sims like the plague. Do NOT go to this dentist.

Be prepared to be given a long list of problems you currently (don't) have. I was told that I needed genetic DNA testing becuase I had "bone loss" to my teeth. This place has to pay for their fancy new office, so you're going to be targeted for an "extraction" of your wallet. Then there's the room you will be escorted to that have all of these photos posted on the wall of athelets that have mouth cancer. ALWAYS trust your gut feeling! I had a bad feeling about this place and rightfully so. I learned that this practice was dropped by my insurance company. Insurance companies don't drop providers for non-valid reasons and this place is no exception. What is even more upsetting is when I switched to a different dentist, I had all of the x-rays done again and was told that my teeth were fine. There was no genetic testing suggested even after I had explained I was told otherwise. Dr. Sims has a lot to learn, but what he is greatly lacking is practicing business in an honest and forthcoming way. I would run for the hills before ever stepping foot in this place.

Any business that invests so heavily in advertisement, as this one does, definitely has issues with maintaining and keeping clients. I was contacted around the Christmas holiday to come to their office to pick up a "gift". Once I arrived, I was given a bottle of wine and champagne. Although this may sound like a gesture of thanks, it clearly was unethical and in poor taste. This is not the 1960's! I don't drink! This would be right up there with giving a ham to a jewish family; you simply don't do it. Beware of this practice and remember, nothing is free. Indian Lake Family dental is in business to make money and they plan to do it off of you. There's a reason they are not a preferred practice with most insurance companies. I was charged for procedures that were not necessary and this was so they could grease their pockets. Don't be fooled by the pretty faces.

Overall - Dr. Sims is an excellent dentist. The problem that I have is that is office staff is very aggressive at trying to "upsell" services. Everything that is said by the dentist himself and the staff must be scrutinized to determine if the service is actually necessary or if they are just trying to sell you a service. This diminishes the trust level that you have with your heath care provider

I have never had an experience at any health care professionals office as I did at Dr Sims!! He has to be one of the best dentists out there. So respectful and knowledgeable. His staff was incredible. No pain, I had a root canal and several other procedures done and left smiling.. Great experience, keep up the great work Dr Sims!,

Dr. Sims is a very caring and thorough dentist. He gives you the facts and makes suggestions, not demands. Since I have poor insurance, I am unable to pay for, all at once, the tratment that I require. Dr. Sims has broken down the list based on importance. I was most impressed with his staff and their positive attitude. The hygenist that cleaned my teeth was so sweet. I have never felt more comfortable than I did here. If you want a dentist that cares, in addition to a staff that apprecaites your business, I recommed this place for sure. I would not have a problem driving 30-40 minutes to this practice because they definitley have mastered customer service!
