Dr. Aaron Jack Lazar, MD

I have been a patient with Dr. Lazar a long time. You are not just another patient that he has to see. Dr. Lazar is not only your Dr. but your friend. Dr. Lazar lets you know what is going on with you in a way you understand. On one occasion that I was in the hospital (and there were many) I had a panic attack. Dr. Lazar was at the Nurses station when the alarm went off, he ran into my room to check on my well being. Dr. Lazar sat with me and held my hand to calm me down. Dr Lazar is an excellent family doctor, and he was my daughters doctor since they were born. His sense of humor & taking the time to get to know the patient & family makes you build a good patient-doctor relationship on a personal level. He is patient, good listener & handles babies very well. We moved & miss him as our doctor. You do wait a little to see him but it is worth the wait as he takes his time with the patients & does not rush you.

I just starting seeing Dr. Lazar and if you are under the impression you will be in and out, you went to the wrong office. He takes his time, does things right and makes sure you get the cheapest medication, not the alternative that makes him more money because it doesnt, he first of all asks the patient which they prefer. I insisted on not using the generic and he was suprised but did not make a fuss and just wrote another script. If he prescribes the generic, it saves you more than 5x the regular script. Day or night, holidays, anytime you have an emergency or have a problem with your health he is reachable. I had to call him and it was the day of his barmitzvah and he still answered to make me feel better about my condition and assured me I would be okay until he saw me in a week. He was right and not only that he knew exactly the right diagnosis and had the script ready when I got there. WORD OF ADVICE: ASK THE SCHEDULER TO HAVE YOUR APPOINTMENT BE THE FIRST OF THE DAY OR THE FIRST… ONE AFTER LUNCH. Those are the times where he isnt behind and I waited 10 minutes for him after lunch one time. He is by far the best doc I have ever dealt with in regards to how much time and effort he puts into each and everyone of his patients. He really cares and it shows, not to mention he is the most chill doc I have ever met. I hope his family gets the same attention he gives at the office.

My family has seeing Aaron Lazar for over 8 years. We have never had an appointment be on time. It is not uncommon for him to walk in to the exam room 60-90 mins later than the scheduled appointment time. It is also not uncommon for him to then rush through the visit in his effort to catch up on his daily schedule. If you need to see him, then expect to set aside a half day for it. It is also not easy to get him prescribe the medicines that the patient prefers. I believe he prescribes alternatives that generate him the most kickbacks. Furthermore, his staff cannot get a lab order correct to save their lives. Everything with the practice at Spalding Family Medicine is a hassle, everything is problematic; and everything takes an exceedingly long time. All of this for sub-standard care...who needs the hassle?! Time to find a physician and office who care about the patients and respects their time.

Dr. Lazar has been my physician for over 12 years, He was also my parents doctor when they were aged and took care of them through their death. He is qualified and caring and sometimes you are waiting for him because he has had an emergency. He is a family doctor and was taking care of my daughter and granddaughters also. He is a very professional caring physician who spends time really getting to know and understand his patients and their problems; rather like doctors used to do before HMOs. He treats the whole person, body, mind, spirit and makes people feel very comfortable.
