Dr. Small is very kind and genuinely cares about you as a patient. He does procedures few other doctors are able to do and saves you from having surgery!!! I have been nothing but extremely impressed by his care and knowledge.

Dr. Small treated our 95 year old mother for a complicated procedure. She recuperated and is doing fine! He was the only doctor that could do the procedure, as it appears he is the one that works on the most difficult cases. Our family read a story in Pamela Young's column in MidWeek on how Dr. Small was caring and skilled treating another mother who had a similar diagnosis.

I was fortunate to hear of Dr. Aaron Small several months ago. He examined me and I took all the tests (blood, etc.) and he did a colonoscopy a few weeks ago. Previously he performed a difficult pancreatic biopsy (on the tail section) which collapsed the cyst and also liver biopsies. I found him clearly caring and technically proficient. I would recommend Dr. Small to anyone who needs a really excellent gastro doctor. Mahalo, a very satisfied patient. PS. I flew to Swedish Medical Center in Seattle several years ago, in search of a good gastro; I also saw another gastro here in Honolulu, so I really do have a basis for comparison.

My personal opinion is look elsewhere after my surgery experience with Dr Small.

do your research please and find a professional Gastrenterologist.

a lot to learn with bedside manner.....seems knowledgeable but follow up lacks....
