Very kind and very supportive

I was shocked by how Dr. Malik had treated me on multiple occasions considering I was her patient since I was a newborn. On one occasion I went for a physical and she noticed my self harm scars she then continued to count each and every scar and she made me feel guilty about self harming and being depressed by telling me that there were disabled children in India that couldn’t walk who had it worse than me. On another occasion she had promised to do a sonogram on me because I had complained about stomach pain for weeks and I told her that there was a stinging and burning pain in my stomach. The only thing she prescribed to me was a laxative and she said that I was constipated. when the laxative didn’t fix my stomach problems I went to her for the sonogram as she promised and her response to me was “ no I’m not touching you “. I wouldn’t recommend taking your child to see this doctor.

Dismissed complaints and was poor to take action. Poor bedside manor and explained things poorly.

Every time I took my child with this doctor my concerns were dismissed and I felt so belittled by her, it was infuriating. She asked what I thought about giving my child a certain medication- umm hello, YOU ARE THE DOCTOR!! Not me!!! You shouldn’t have to do trisl-and-error with a really sick infant. Switched doctors after this last chance I gave her. I will never take my children to see this doctor again.

Terrible people skills. Was rough with my newborn. Made appointments months in advanced and the week before BOTH appointments, her office called to reschedule. Then after being prompted if there was anything I had questions about, since I am a new mom, I was then billed for a regular office visit. I called to have the bill removed since it was a well visit, and apparently she needs the copay more than I do. I have since switched doctors. I will never go back to her.

Dr. Mallick was my favorite doctor for my children. I didn't like to see the Dr. on call. She was always personable and went the extra mile to make my children and me feel comfortable. She and her staff were always polite and very consistent. I highly recommend her as a pediatrician.
