Dr. Abraham Seungchu Chyung, MD

Dr. Chyung is so calm, extremely knowledgable, and patient! I have no idea what these other reviews are saying. He takes his time explaining everything and makes me feel truly involved/valued in my healthcare. Do yourself a favor and schedule an appointment with him. I might name my first born son after him at this point!

Please do not go to this doctor, is lacks all empathy

Please do not go to this doctor... he is horrible. I would give zero star if possible. He lack any empathy is condescending.

He should not be a neurologist if he cannot treat his Patients with empathy or kindness. He asked two 70 year olds to come to his office during the covid outbreak for a medication refill for their memory medication. The spouse requested the refill to be sent to the pharmacy so as not to be exposed unnecessarily. But this Dr. Abraham insisted they come in. He was condescending to them both during the appointment then went on to say the medication was useless anyway. How strange this doctor is.

After many Disappointments in urology over at UCSD, we knew we had to make a change for our son. He suffers from Refractory Seizure Disorder and autism. Our son is a very complicated case because he had behaviors too. Dr Chyung is very opened and honest with us. As a very concerned parent about out son’s health, he collaborated and makes sure that we understand everything that is being discussed. He doesn’t give you false hope. Just both sides of what you’re dealing with. Both my husband & I appreciate his candor !! I would (and have) recommend Dr Chyung for years to come. We are proud to be one of his patients !!

I am a physician and was unable to obtain a prescription from Dr. Chyung ( he was on-call) for a non-narcotic medication for a painful nerve condition (trigeminal neuralgia). He stated he would not prescribe the medication because that's not how "I run my practice." Physicians are on-call specifically to help patients with problems so they can to avoid going to Urgent Care. He advised me to go to Urgent Care. I had taken the same medication 2 years ago and did not experience recurrent symptoms until this week.

Very uncaring and arrogant physician. Charged a lot, and was not able to help me at all.
