Dr. Aida Vega, MD

What should have been a simple check up for depression for my wife turned into a panic attack that required my wife’s sister to go to the office and pick her up. This “doctor” was accusatory, crass, condescending, and apathetic towards my wife as she was trying to explain her issues. Vega did nothing but act as an aggressor but it doesn’t stop there. This blundering quack then tried to detain and commit my wife to a psychiatric ward due to the distress that she caused. I am disgusted by the fact that she is the head of her department in Mount Sinai. After this experience we’ve decided that for the good of our family we will never see another Mount Sinai physician again. Since the head of their department has the bedside manner of a howler monkey, we have little confidence that the rest of department is much better. If you are black I suggest you see a different physician.

I am so fortunate to have Dr. Vega as my primary doctor. She is extremely clever and astute, keenly aware of things that make sense and always willing to listen. I feel very confident and comfortable under her care.
