Dr. Alan Freeman, MD

A fantastic MD and a super nice man

I have been seeing Dr. Freeman for at least 20 years, and find him to be the absolute best. He’s always pleasant and it’s my pleasure to have him as my neurologist. Can’t imagine the few negative reviews. I’ve seen several other neurologists and they are not even close to being as competent as Dr. Alan. My family and I consider him to be the Best!! My husband has been treated by Dr. Freeman for 12 years for Parkinson's Disease. Dr. Freeman has prescribed medicine that has helped my husband live as independently as possible. He is an intelligent, competent, kind, caring physician. He follows the AMA guidelines. We would highly recommend him for any movement disorder. Dr. Freeman has treated me for twenty years for focal dystonia. I have received Botox and Botulism B. Because of these treatments, I still have adequate neck movement and very rarely have any head or neck discomfort. Without this treatment, the arthritis in my neck would have frozen my neck in one position. I therefore would not be able to move my neck and would have to move my entire body to see well. We both highly recommend Dr. Alan Freeman.

Dr. Freeman is a wonderful neurologist; caring, and always treats me gently and with concern. He's so much better than most docs. I drive almost hour, and wouldn't want to change M.D.'s

Dr. Alan Freeman is a wonderful neurologist. He gives an accurate diagnosis, and is outstanding with treatments. Dr. Freeman is personable and treats his patients with respect. Love this doc.

I have been going to Dr. Freeman for many years and I cannot complain of his care. It is often that nobody knows what is wrong with a certain patient and I definitely fit that category. But an outstanding Neurologist never gives up - - - and he does his homework before the patient arrives. I was gone from his practice for 4 years due to my Wife's critical illness, when I returned to see Dr. Freeman he entered the examining room and reviewed my entire case from the onset - - without a single note or mistake. I plan to return to this practice soon with another mystery problem - - - unexplained Syncope Problems while sitting only - - - and to get my CPAP SD card reviewed. Note: If I could find a better Neurologist, I have the option to select. Maybe if Dr. Freeman retires.

Dr. Freeman has helped me quite a bit. I was referred by another Parkinson's patient. As with any MD go into your appointment with a list of your concerns. i have found that having a written list of questions and concerns presented to Dr. Freeman yields the best results from your appointment.

The system makes it impossible to have access to the doctor. It is an "email and well call you back" system, which may or may not happen. It doesn't matter how good a physician is if he is inaccessible. If you can wait for months to schedule an appointment, you're good. If you are really ill and in need if help, you're just plain out of luck. They have become too big and too busy to offer a personal touch. I can't deal with the system any more. The stars are good, once you're in they are fine , but getting in is impossible.

Dr. Freeman was very helpful. The office staff are burdened by the rules of the healthcare system.

He couldn't figure out my problem so fell back on the usual "it's all in your head" blame the patient. Told me my problems were psychiatric and not to go to any other neurologist because he was right. Well I did go to another neurologist. I have Stiff Person Syndrome and am now severely disabled.
