Dr. Alan David Listhaus, MD

I prefer a doctor that will tell you as it is, straight forward and does not hold back. Dr. Listhaus meets those standards. What I really like about him is that he will tell it like it is and will not give you any false hope's.

Several years ago, due to a botched cataract procedure done by another physician, I developed a complete retina detachment. Dr. Listhaus did surgery and I have nearly 20/20 vision. The recovery was grueling process but with his support encouragement and skillful care I made it. He saved my vision for which I will be ever grateful,

I had a retinal detachment, which he calmly and very specifically explained to me. He also explained the risks and statistics of re-detachment. I did, unfortunately, have a re-detachment due to scar tissue. Dr. Listhaus performed a second surgery. I feel as if he truly felt as upset as I that it had re-detached. He is vested with his patients and that, honestly, is all you want in a doctor. He has been extremely compassionate and readily available. This process is not easy, but with Dr. Listhaus's help it was definitely manageable. I wish more doctors were as caring.

Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Listhaus. Saved my life by diagnosing imminent stroke.

I have found Dr. Listhaus to be very knowledgeable, professional, courteous, and caring. I had a tear in the retina in my left eye, and he performed a laser procedure immediately. Thanks to him, I did not lose any vision in that eye, and have had no problems since. I highly recommend Dr. Listhaus.

Dr. Listhaus is arrogant and rude. He botched my operation and lied to me about it.
