Having a doctor that listens and connects can be a matter of life and death. Despite the convenient location I switched to another PCP as it appears Dr Richey is either burned out or beyond developing human connections with his clients. Found I was having a hard time communicating and being heard and realized having a doctor like this is bad for my health.

If you are looking for a doctor with a sociable personality unfortunately you've come to the wrong place. When a doctor does not even make eye contact with you during his diagnosis that tells me he's a robot and needs to connect better with his patients. I guess both my wife and I will be looking elsewhere for our (PCP) Primary Care Physician.

Having retired from the AAMC as VP, I have had he opportunity to observe many general practioners. I Consider Dr. Richey one of the best that I have had contact with.

I am so happy I found Dr Richey again. He has been right on target with everything he has diagnosed me with or finding the right speciality doctor. He was genuinely interested in my well-being. I WILL NEVER go back to his old office on Duke St/Little River Tpk ever! Such awful experiences/diagnosis' with that office.

Dr Alan W Richey is one of, if not the best physician I have had. I had an appointment with him approximately 6 months ago after his vacation. Upon arrival I was told he had not returned, another visit the same thing. Now I am told he is not returning with no answer as to what happened to him. PLEASE, PLEASE COME BACK IF YOU CAN! I was told he was not ill nor dead, so WHERE IS HE? I have had more problems with getting my prescriptions, and I have no one I feel comfortable with and trust with my physical health and wellbeing since he left. Whereever he is... GOD BLESS, Protect and Prosper him.

Dr. Richey has been my PCP for the last several years. He manages to be be thorough and efficient but also caring. When I have appointments with a specialist, Dr. Richey makes sure that the specialist has current test results so that the tests don't have to be repeated. He does not hesitate to refer me when he feels he needs another doctor's input, and the doctors to whom he has referred me have been good, without exception. I recommend Dr. Richey unconditionally and enthusiastically.

DR. RICHEY is the best doctor I have visited. I have been with him for about 10 years and have never looked back. He is extremely conscientious, diligent, and thorough. He is very proactive as well. He has excellent bedside manners and respects his patients enough to speak with him in detail about his opinion. He is very patient and answers all of your questions. I can't recommend him enough.

THE BEST OF THE BEST - I HAVE BEEN WITH HIM FOR 18+ YEARS. HE HAS LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE TWICE. VERY SMART AND PROACTIVE IN TREATING HIS PATIENTS. BEDSIDE MANNER UNPARALLED AND HE CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS, BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, HE CARES ABOUT THEM.
