Dr. Albert Thomas Bundy, MD

My dad had 2 MOHS procedures done by Dr Bundy. His staff was very nice. We were told that this surgery had to be done promptly since it was aggressive. Since I am my 96 year old dad's caregiver, I cancelled two planned cruises since I was told it could not wait, and I certainly wanted to be there for my dad. I am his only child so it was up to me to bring him to every post op visit, and this entailed weeks of follow up. I did not hesitate to cancel my plans. My dad will always come first in my eyes. I had taken out cruise insurance, so I brought the form to the office to be filled out and signed by the doctor. They gave me a copy of his chart notes, but the doctor twice refused to sign off on the insurance form, even after I told his office person that the insurance will NOT pay my claim unless this is signed. They do not care, and I find this totally arrogant on his part. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to use him. Many of these reviews are awful and I wish I… would have researched him before using him. I would have NEVER brought my dad to him. I am now wondering just how much of this surgery was necessary. I have never had a doctor's office treat me so rudely, and they could care less. I am currently seeing one of his PAs who was great, but I have cancelled my follow up with her. I will never go back there again.

I agree with the patient review "Way Too Sure of Himself". I made the BIG MISTAKE of letting Dr. Bundy do relatively minor face surgery (removal of a VERY SMALL pimple protuberance located below my nose/above my lip. I am presently age 70. This "pimple" I have had for MANY YEARS (30+); and though I did not like it---it presented no active danger. Post surgery---I now have an inch long prominent incision which I believe will leave a significant scar! Because the original protuberance would never have been life-threatening, his recommendation to excise it was not prudent. I firmly believe Dr. Bundy owed me an honest pros & cons medical appraisal, which I did NOT get.

My first visit, Dr. Bundy removed something, not a mole, without performing a biopsy. I had some doubts. The next visit, he told me I was scheduled for removal of a mole which he did not biopsy. I would need to be inactive for two weeks for the wound to heal. I went to May River Dermatology for a second opinion. They did a biopsy, which was negative. Draw your own conclusion.

Excellent experience. Staff is courteous helpful and qualified I'm their duties. Could not expect better service. Have had many skin cancer surgieries at this location.

Took my child in for a rash and was diagnosed with eczema. I would highly recommend this office.

I did not appreciate the fact that Dr. A. Thomas Bundy is not only the Dermatologist you end up seeing but that he is also the same Dr. A. Thomas Bundy that analyzes any biopsy that he takes. Previously, I had been to several other Dermatologist over the years and all of them always sent any biopsy to an outside laboratory for its Dermatopathology Report. Ethically there is nothing wrong with what Dr. Bundy was doing in writing the Report but I became very suspicious about the surgery he wanted to perform. When I received a second and third opinion I was advised that the surgery he wanted to perform was not necessary.

As a new patient, I had to wait over an hour and twenty minutes to see the doctor for 5 minutes. I will not be back.

The wait time is deplorable; while you may only spend 10-15 minutes in the waiting room, you will end up waiting another 30-45 minutes in the exam room. Dr. Bundy is very dismissive of patient concerns and spends little time with you. He is unwilling to explain options to patients. For a procedure which has previously been covered by insurance (and billed by him to my insurance company), he said it was now "cosmetic." I can only assume the insurance company has lessened its reimbursement, so his profit margin is higher if he can reclassify the procedure and bill it directly to the patient. I will certainly not be returning to Dr. Bundy's office.
