Dr. Albert D Hudson, MD

After more than 10 years as a patient of Dr. Al D. Hudson as my primary physician at Atrium Health / Charlotte Medical Clinic South Park, I feel both obligated and entitled to share my experience — and it is not a good one. In over a decade, Dr. Hudson has never once responded to an email, a phone call, or a direct message submitted through Atrium's own patient portal. Not once. That alone should tell you everything you need to know. When I was hospitalized and his office was contacted, he did not respond. When I required a referral for an MRI following a back injury — a basic, routine request — he did not respond. The silence was not occasional or circumstantial. It was consistent, repeated, and frankly inexcusable for someone entrusted with a patient's health and well-being. This is not a doctor who is simply hard to reach. This is a doctor who, by all evidence, has a complete disregard for the people under his care. In any other profession this level of unresponsiveness would be… considered a serious failure. In medicine, it is dangerous. If you are searching for a primary care physician, do not walk away from Dr. Hudson — run. And if you are skeptical of the 5-star ratings you see on Atrium's platform, you should be. When I attempted to leave a review through their system, I was not permitted to do so. It appears those reviews are curated, not collected — which should raise serious questions about what you are reading there. Dr. Al D. Hudson receives 1 star, and that is generous.

Dr AL was my Aerospace Flight Surgeon for most of my airline career as a pilot. He also took care of my wife and I, as our Primary Care Physician . He helped my wife navigate through breast cancer and heart issues. His guidance and Specialist recommendations saved her life. He also is my friend. Thanks Dr Al

I could not have a better doctor. I owe him my life. He is an instrument of God. He has shown such compassion to me. He has always taken such good care of me. I have been his patient for over 10 years. To me he is wonderful!!!!!!
