Dr. Alex Sherman, MD

Absolutely exceptional. Dr. Sherman made me feel comfortable every step of the way, and he explained things to me in ways that make sense and are actionable.

Dr. Sherman's office staff is hard to reach. The main contact is via the portal website where you can confirm appointments. I had a query and over a week in advance of my appointment, I sent 3 messages asking the same question, which I never received a response to. They called to confirm my appointment but to answer my question, I was told I would receive a call later that day. No one called me so they never confirmed my appointment. 2 days after my appointment Dr. Sherman sent me a message complaining that missed appointments cause practice disruptions but he never answered my question. I sent a response asking again the same question and apologizing for the missed appointment due to it not being confirmed. I never received a response. Poor communication between staff and Dr. Sherman and a patient is a singular and strange lack for patient concerns.

I have been a Patient of Dr. Sherman for several Years. He is always Professional, Attentive, Knowledgeable and Patient. Most important is that he is highly experienced so I am always completely relaxed under his care and feel I am in the Best of Hands. I highly and completely recommend Dr. Alex Sherman!

Went to see Dr. Sherman and at the first appointment I felt like I was in good hands. Dr. Sherman is great. He listens, took time with me patiently answered all my questions and was funny. I ended up needing to have a procedure which was done today. Dr. Sherman can into the procedure room and calmed my nerves. He did the procedure and a few minutes after I woke he was there to check on me. Everyone in the office that I encountered was very friendly and kind. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sherman. I wish he was my PCP.

This doctor had seen me twice the previous week, for a consultation about an issue and then a colonoscopy. He told me to see him a week later about the issue. At this follow up he appeared to have no idea who I was, that we’d already discussed the issue at length, or that he’d just done a colonoscopy on me. I don’t know whether he was hung over or has memory issues, but this is really unprofessional and unacceptable. Review the chart before seeing a patient if you can’t remember them ! I won’t use him again; not recommended.
