Dr. Alexander T Augoustides, DO

Dr. Augoustides is a skilled integrative specialist. No doubt. But he lacks sorely in sincere patient connection and understanding. As a patient it is "His way or the highway." And the fact that he does not accept Medicare and other insurance plans speaks to his focus on money perhaps more than his patients. What good is a "good doctor" if you cannot see him?

Dr. Augoustides does not listen; he looks at you in a creepy way and tells you your tongue is dirty, you have bacteria, etc. I felt that he was just pushing his vitamins on me, products that can only be bought from him because the normal ones at the pharmacy are not good and do not do the job. He wanted me to go back every 15 weeks to get intramuscular vitamins... I am never coming back.

About 10 yrs ago I was so weak and ill that I was sure I had a deadly cancer or other ailment. Supposedly I was fine by other accounts. But I knew better and I had actually had professional photos made of me with my family and best friend without divulging my reason. I went to see Dr. Aug because he could practice clinical medicine as well as more natural methods. Dr. Aug realized that some life situations can cause great harm to the body. During that first visit he determined my problem. A blood test was given that confirmed his diagnosis. I was treated strategically with supplements as the main structure of my recovery. I recovered my health and have been well every since.

He ran up my bill unnecessarily with labs, supplements I did not agree to and plain didn’t listen to my answers.

An unusual doctor. Takes the time to talk with you to understand your problem!

Agree with the other posters that Dr. A spends time to listen, and he can successfully treat things that regular docs deny even exist. He doesn't have the best bedside manner, with his abruptness, but his practice is still well worth it. Staff is wonderful. I have recommended this office to many friends.

Dr. A take all the time you need to talk with him to diagnose your problem. He is straight forward in what he tells you and truly cares about his patients.

I am glad that i found him after my regular doctor said he could not help me. I am on the road to recovery thanks to his guidance and help.

I have brought my friend to her appt on a few occasions and I have noticed that this office needs to be more aware of other patients medical issues. It is not sound proof and moreso they need top be carteful as to what they discuss as people who are in the waiting room, the Doctor himself seems nice but I think he should do something about his staff.

I have never been under a doctor's care like that of Dr. A. He has a keen grasp on wholistic medicine, and has treated my chronic illness with no less than dedication and intelligence (which is rare these days). If not for him, I would have given up hope of improving.
