Dr. Alice Weaver Flaherty, MD

One-of-a-kind clinician with both a high emotional and intellectual IQ. Genius, warm-hearted, gives 1000%. No, that is not a type-O. 1000%. She is a blessing to any medical student, resident, patient or fellow faculty member. On top of her game, and of a few others as well. The world would not be the same without her.

Dr Flaherty is someone I'd give the highest recommendation. I came to her with a complex situation and she actually went completely out of her way to spend ample time on my case. She perceptively hit on the key issues with my medical difficulties, and through her keen observation asked me questions that led to properly diagnosing a condition that other specialists (well respected but not the best like Dr Flaherty!) had gotten wrong. The implications of this diagnosis for my future treatment were enormous, but if that wasn't enough, Dr Flaherty continued to show great sensitivity and kindness, discussing all the other details and potential scenarios for my future treatment with deep knowledge and insight. Her thoughtful analysis and recommendations really helped me decide from several complicated options on the optimal future course of treatment. I was blessed to have found her, and if she would approach in this manner a patient like me whom she didn't know well, she is a true… healer, which is the highest compliment I can think of for a physician.

She is excellent in her knowledge and she spends whatever time is needed to satisfy. She is also very responsive to emails. For my dad, we have seen many doctors, but no one comes close to her ability and responsiveness.
