Dr. Alla Y Solyar, MD

Dr Solyar calls me back personally when I have a question, sometimes well past hours when other doctors are home. She has called me more than once after 6:30pm. She is very thorough. She listens & answers my questions. She lets me have the opportunity to view on a TV screen when she scopes my sinuses so I understand exactly what is going on in my sinuses. She is very patient with me.

Absolutely the worst doctors office i have ever dealt with in my life.Dr Solyar herself was kind and very professional. I spoke with her over the phone after our appointment and she had mentioned that one of the cat scans i had brought in to her showed that there had been fluid in my sinuses for a long time. I had only brought in a recent cat scan to her so was confused by this and thought maybe i had forgotten about another one which i found important to have reviewed by another ENT that wanted to do surgery on me due to this infection that was close to my brain and causing me a ton of misery. She said to call back and someone could fax over the paperwork to this other doctor. When i spoke with Michelle the office "manager" i was met with an immediate unprofessional attitude and extremely rude demeanor. She refused to send the paperwork stating hippa violations even though i had signed release forms in the office the day of my appointment. I told her that i understood but would like… to speak with Dr solyar about the way she was speaking to me because it was unnecessary and extremely cruel and unprofessional. I tried explaining to her that i was very sick, being almost in tears after going back and forth with her for awhile not understanding why she was acting this way..Did she have a bad day or wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Who knows, but i am a disabled nurse and have worked in the medical field and have never spoken to a patient the way she spoke to me. She refused to let me speak to Dr solyar and said she was busy and that she was "now terminating the conversation" and hung up on me. Shocked, i tried calling back and speaking with someone else. The medical assistant Jaime continued to transfer me to Michelle even though i told her i did not want to speak with her and tried explaining the situation to her. When michelle got back on the phone she stated "your just gonna get me every time theres nobody here in the office that is above me". I told her that when i had spoken with Dr solyar the night before she said it was fine to fax that paperwork to my doctor to review and she replied "i dont care what dr solyar said she doesnt make those rules. I am terminating this conversation do not call again or i will call the police on you for harrassment". I tried speaking calmly to her explaining that all i wanted was my records and that i was very sick with this infection i was very concerned about so i wanted my doctor to have all these records. She said i had to go there to sign paperwork which i explained i dont have a car to do. I asked her to just tell me the date of the cat scan and ordering physician and she refused to, talking over me, not allowing me to speak barely at all then hung up on me again. I called back one more time and this time told jaime i did NOT want to speak with michelle and to NOT transfer me to her that i wanted to leave a message for DR solyar to call me as soon as possible. She asked me to hold on then came back on the phone and said "Dr solyar is aware of the situation". I told her i want to speak with her myself because i knew that michelle had twisted the whole story and all she replied was "Dr solyar knows the situation. Good bye." And hung up on me. I will NEVER go back to this doctors office again. I have been sick a long time and dealt with a lot of doctors and for an office staff to be allowed to treat sick patients this way is just beyond abhorable.

Very accurate, attentive and knowlegeable doctor. I need an outside consult and she found the doctor while I was there. This is what a doctor should be not the usual "15-minutes-you're-out" doctors of today

Dr. Solyar saved my son's life. He was diagnosed with a JNA tumor, and she successfully removed it. We have been a patient for two years, and reccommend her whole heartedly. She's very knowledgable, and has a wonderful bedside manner. She (not her staff) calls me with any updates, and test results. That is totally unheard of today. Both my son and I love her!

Love Dr. Solyar. She found my cancer and got me the best oncologists.
