I had the EXACT experience of another reviewer. After my exam, he asked my wife and I to go back to his office where he asked us to pay an additional $50 each time we saw him. We were shocked and very uncomfortable and would not ever consider another visit. Also, on that visit he told me I had MS. I asked him "How can you say that if I hadn't had a MRI". He then sent me for an MRI to confirm his diagnosis. The MRI came back perfectly normal with no trace of MS. I called the doctor to ask him if he changed his diagnosis. His response "I still think you have it". There are many excellent Neurologists in Bergen County. I see no need to go to someone who cannot make a proper diagnosis and needs to hit up his patients for more money.

I can't believe this guy is still practicing. I called my insurance co at the time and told them but i guess nothing was done. I went to Dr. Silverstein yrs ago and after he made his diagnosis and recommendations, I was told to go back out and sit in the waiting room. So while I waited I asked the office person what I owed. She told me she didn't know bc he needed to "talk to me". Dr Silverstein came back out and we went into another office/room to "talk" behind closed doors. He told me insurance only gives him x amount, which he didn't think was enough. He said he'd appreciate it if I'd consider giving him more (as in extra cash) out of the goodness of my heart and bc he did such a good job. What the...? Seriously? He's crazy - don't go to him!
