Dr. Allen Winston, DO

I have seen Dr. Winston now for six months. In that time I have had 7 appointments. This Dr. is confrontational and doesn't know how to treat patients. Each visit I've gone to get some get further help with several diagnosed problems I'm facing. Each time I go to see him he acts like a confrontational child when you to try to describe the symptoms. His responses are always degrading, as if your beneath him. Save yourself the aggravation, as you will discover nothing but distain for this doctor with ZERO people skills.

The doctor is very confrontational when speaking to patients and it makes us feel like we're doing something wrong. I've never met a doctor that made me feel uncomfortable like this before. He makes me feel like a child. Overall, the entire process of OFMC lacks a human care. You can't even call and talk to someone from the doctor's office. You'll always need to leave a recorded message and most of the time, they don't return your call. If they do, they don't leave a message for you. It's a complete waste of time. Nothing gets resolved.

It was easy to make an appointment to be seen the same day for a UTI. The M.D. promptly refused to see my husband. The staff promptly tried to get my husband out of the office. The staff was very inexperienced and rude to be dealing with ill patiets. The staff has often been unpleasant but not there to be seen the staff so we dealt with it. The P.A. was not in the office that day and the covering M.D. refused to see or treat a patient of 15 years. The M.D. was rude, came across intimidating, did not even want to speak to us. He sent staff to tell my husband go to call 911. Now we received a letter in the mail saying that my husband is no longer a patient of Chiefland Medical Center. So a 15 year paying, insured patient tossed aside by a covering M.D. with a big chip on their shoulder. This did not have to happen this way.

We both were patients of Dr. Winston when he was in Pensacola. He was very thorough,spent a lot of time with our visits and definitely had a wonderful beside manner. We really missed him when he left and glad we found his site so we could make our remarks known. Thank you Dr. Winston - you are missed.
