Dr. Amir Ali Bajoghli, MD

I am very disillusioned with the service I received at Dr. Bajoghli’s office, if one can even call it “service”. I had two appointments that were supposed to be with Dr. Bajoghli, and instead he left it to his medical assistant to collect all of the information and all my concerns, and then he just popped in, popped out while barely exchanging a couple sentences with me. The first time, I admit I was a couple minutes late (I called ahead to let the office know), but the next time I came early and yet I experienced the same issue. This is unfair for two reasons: first of all, I do not know what the assistant said to the doctor about me, so I do not know if he relayed the accurate information to the doctor about my concerns, and secondly, as a patient, I made the appointment and am paying and making time to see Dr. Bajoghli, not his assistant. In terms of Dr. Bajoghli’s team and the office staff, I am even more disappointed. I noticed an extreme lack of diligence, for the following… reasons: - Lack of follow-through: At the end of the first appointment, the medical assistant let me know he would follow up with me on something over email the same day. However, several days passed, and I did not get any email from him. I called the office multiple times (both locations) to try to get in touch with him, but he wasn’t available to speak with me. I left my contact information and asked if he can call me back, and I finally got a response from the assistant nine days after he told me he would send the email. - Scheduling error - wrong doctor: for the second appointment, I called to confirm and check ahead of time only to find out the office staff scheduled me with the wrong doctor, instead of Dr. Bajoghli. They had to reschedule me for the next day so that I could see Dr. Bajoghli. - Extremely long wait times: for my second appointment, I came early but they still admitted me about one hour and twenty minutes after my scheduled appointment. Then it was roughly another fifteen minutes before Dr. Bajoghli came to see me. I do not recall even getting an apology. To me, this is indicative of a lack of respect for the patient’s time. - Failure to submit prescription: I called and checked with my local pharmacy multiple times only to find out the office did not transfer my prescription, even days later! I was specific to which pharmacy I wanted it sent. I even called the office to remind them and asked the front desk to remind the doctor too - and then I checked again with the pharmacy. The pharmacy still didn’t get it. Ten days after my appointment, I called the pharmacy again and they told me they still didn’t get it. I have since given up on trying to get my prescription. Dr. Bajoghli’s office is so unresponsive, I am unable to get my prescription. In the span of only two appointments, I encountered this many issues and difficulties. I will not return to this office. As a patient, I deserve better care and respect.

I have taken my son, who has a tendency towards skin sensitivities to Dr. Bajoghli several times. The pediatrician and other dermatologists seem to be mystified by my son’s skin issues - they shrug it along and call it “dermatitis” (but what is that, really?) and tell me to change detergents, etc. Dr. Bajoghli has been the one and only dermatologist to have definitive, CONFIDENT diagnoses and EFFECTIVE solutions. I won’t go elsewhere.
