Dr. Ammar Almasalkhi, MD

Dismissive and patronizing staff. The Dr. Almasalkhi thought I was on Delura despite me telling him twice if not three times that I take symbicort. Continue to advocate for yourself, don't let a bully unprofessional staff member stop you. 1. Staff wanted me to do her job by ordering my own test 2. Told me that I should have gotten a nebulizer from Dr. A because he is my lung Dr. instead of my general doctor. I agree, however, due to their dismissive nature I couldn't wait for that to happen. 3. Didn't know what medication I was taking. 4. I was told I wasn't their only patient. Okay well I know that and that's why I waited 3 or 4 days to remind you guys about my breathing difficulties per a phone conversation that we had days prior and that's why I called my general practitioner after waiting days for your response. A nebulizer was ordered by my general Dr. The nebulizer may not be the answer but at least it's a step towards helping a patient.

Saw a year and a half ago, had Sleep Apnea study done, went back to his office twice and his staff kept saying they had no copy of this study but kept charging me over about $100. Went to his office today, they said they had my sleep study and they would have to do it again. What a joke, first his staff is so incompetent that they cannot find the study and I have to keep paying and they still cannot find it. Now this staff says (oh they're not the same staff) well it's the same doctor and if that is what he does, making me go over and over through a study, keep on charging me money, and now making me go over it again. Looks like he and his staff do not behave ethically or competently. Evidently he does not hold himself or his patients in esteem and his plan is only to take your money and constantly refuse to do what his job is. Poor Staff? You hired them. Now your staff is better? Funny, they said I had to do the study over again, which is because of Dr. A. Again you demand I get… another study. Get out of the field if this is how you practice. You are fired.

Have been a patient of Dr. Almasalkhi's for several years, starting when he had an office in Shelbyville KY. I find him to be professional with good chair-side manner. He's efficient and confident and takes the time needed to answer my questions. His front office staff is top-notch and also take the time needed to schedule and communicate with care and accuracy.

Pleasant manner. He put me at total ease and I had confidence in his diagnosis.

I was impressed with dr Almasalkhi's professionalism, kindness and taking time to really listen to me. This was the first time that I became his patient and it is even more so more than two years later.
