Dr. Anamaria Yolanda Rael, MD

I scheduled with Dr. Rael to establish a new primary care relationship and was treated disrespectfully and with contempt from the start of my appointment. Dr. Rael did not listen to my concerns, cited information not in my health records, and never followed up. While in her office I experienced an alarming medical event and was not given proper care by Dr. Rael. What’s worse, Dr. Rael did not exercise any caution or concern to refer me for medical care she was either unwilling or unable to provide. My experience with this doctor was shocking, embarrassing, and harmful. The only promising thing about my experience was the other parts of the medical team within the office at Presbyterian Atrisco - medical assistants, nurses, and support staff - that were professional, engaged, and committed to providing quality, respectful and empathetic care to patients. Please consider any other provider within Presbyterian for your primary care besides Dr. Rael. I would not want… any of my friends or family to be under her indifferent care.

I've seen Dr. Rael a couple of times and I instantly liked her personality and professionalism. She was thorough, caring, listened to what I said and answered questions completely as they were asked. I felt I was in good hands.
