So what that one reviewer said about a low-key sense of contempt after the first year with this doc…this was exactly my experience. I was thinking that maybe it was my own issues that made me get this vibe from him, or react so strongly to a couple of snarky things he said to me, but the below review articulated why I stopped working with him better than I could have done myself.

Be careful. There were certainly some helpful highlights in the year plus with him. It wasn’t all awful. However, over time, we found his communication style to be less than straightforward, sometimes even borderline combative, and it felt like his ego entered in to the equation at some point and never left. He spent too much time fluctuating between laughing (when it wasn’t quite appropriate) or staring at the ceiling apparently deep in thought. A few times he was downright nasty in his tone or words. This is a difficult profession to find providers whose own challenges don’t overshadow their work. I’m afraid that in Andrew Bush’s case it’s not clear that he’s able to leave his own “stuff” out of the office and provide guidance in a clear-headed way. Steer clear if you can.
