A decent physician ordering adequate testing but persistently failing to listen to patient complaints. Simply he fails to diagnose an SI joint paint. I guess his only interest is to deal with spine issues, nothing more. Poor diagnosis.

He may have impeccable credentials, but he's short and curt and doesn't spend much time with you. Most of my visit was handled by the PA. Dr. Casden came in for about 2 minutes at the very end. I can't see how he possibly could have gotten a sense for my issues.

While facing my 3rd spinal surgery, skill, knowledge and expertise were only part of my list when looking for a surgeon. The other part of my list was accessibility, compassion, ability to listen and explain, one who gives time and really truly cares about their patients. I found all this and more with Dr. Casden. Not only was he a fabulous surgeon, he was, and still is, always there to listen and explain. This is a rarity amongst doctors nowadays. If it wasn't for him, I do not know if I would be up and walking now. He not only did a great job with the surgery, he gave me the confidence to go through with it.
