He completed his general surgery residency at New York University and Bellevue Hospital and simultaneously received a graduate degree in finance and economics from Columbia University. Dr. Elkwood continued training at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the New York University Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital/Manhattan Eye, Ear, and Throat Hospital, which ran the world's busiest cosmetic surgery service. Dr. Elkwood is …double board certified in general surgery and plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.
