Very poor treatment. My dad trusted her and she failed him. When my dad was dying in the icu, she couldn’t even get a pass to see him in the hospital he was in and the communication was very poor with her and the hospital and my family. He landed in the icu from a bad blood transfusion he received from wherever she sent him. It was called TRLI ( transfusion related lung injury) which was the beginning of the end for my dad. When I called her after he died and even one year later regarding the bad blood transfusion, she never returned my call!!! She only did two bone marrow aspirations in the whole 51/2 years he was sick! One in the beginning of his illness (low grade MDS) and one after symptoms changed overnight. The first aspiration there were no mutations and the second one there was a few and he overlapped with advanced myelofibrosis. Had there been aspirations done yearly, he could have been treated earlier at Sloan Kettering while he was much healthier. Sloan had an amazing trial… for my dad to start based on one of his mutations that they said could possibly cure him but we found out too late. He was told he had two years but died in 5 months because of the bad transfusion and if I’m wrong, maybe she should have taken time out of her busy day to call me!!!!!!! My dad said at the end of his life “ how did low grade MDS turn into advanced myelofibrosis with two years to live” it’s because he trusted the wrong doctor!!!!!! My dad trusted her! She failed my dad.
