Dr. Anna Wilson Cothron, MD

Dr. Cothron is very intelligent and is willing to determine the correct medication(s) that works for each individual. She treats the whole person, by monitoring your medication, understands all of your physical and mental health issues, and gives you a game plan. Even thou she has numerous patients, she give you her full attention and time. Treatment and topics are explained in terms that you can understand. Solutions are arrived at by the patient discovering the A-ha moment or she will explain what she thinks is going on. Her explanation is based on her professional knowledge and knowing who you are and how you deal with things. Having been a client of hers in both the private practice and with the Veterans Admin. I rate her as the best. I have had other psychologist who would not treat me or prescribe incorrect med's or treated me as a number, so I have seen the worst and the best. Those individuals who gave her poor rating either where not compatible with her style, were… unwilling to do their part, or just did not have enough experience with her to understand. I hope you did find someone else who could help. I would give her 6 stars if I could. I truly will miss her and wish her well in her new position.

Dr. Anna Cothron always went over and above to diagnose and treat her patients whole health. She will be an asset to any medical team she joins and she is already greatly missed by her previous patients.

Having been a patient of Dr. Cothron's through the VA, I found her very helpful. I hope her replacement at the VA is as skillful as she was. Medication that works if often found by trial and error and if something didn't work she always remained optimistic. I wish her well with her new job.

It seems to me most folks do not post if they are happy. She is a great Dr and the best in this half of the state. Dealing with mentally ill people like me is challenging and she does it well.

Anna is incredibly rude and uncaring toward her patients. In my opinion she is negligent

Dr. Cothron is extremly good at what she does, a wise counsel. I consider her a valuable asset to the Stevens Point Area.

Great doc, would highly recommend!

I began seeing Dr. Cothron over a year ago. At first she was helpful, and the medications she gave me seemed to help.However, when I began having trouble with the medication, I left her numerous messages. She never called me back. Now I'm stuck with these medications, some of which are habit-forming, and I can't get refills on them.She's obviously very good at what she does, and is extremely perceptive and intelligent. She's a fine doctor in every way but one: she doesn't seem to care about her patients' well-being if any problems arise.

I was misdiagnosed by Ms. Cothron for five years. During this time I was over-medicated. Upon review from the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Cothron was advised to back off on my medication levels - after this finding, Dr. Cothron refused to see me. I guess she doesn't like professionals checking up on her.
