Dr. Anthony Paul Giovine, DO

Dr. Giovine used to be a great doctor but on a recent visit with him and was anything but good, was in a rush and didn’t want to answer any of my questions, I had a first time pregnancy that I was miscarrying, he had extremly insensitive comments, told me he would send me for blood work never got a phone call over it or anything, just left to figure things out on my own and do my own research, next time just be upfront it would of been better so I knew what was happening

Overall I had a great experience with Dr. Giovine. I have no complaints about him he has wonderful bedside manner and was very thorough with me during my annual visit. HOWEVER his office staff in Little Silver is terrible! They are rude, impatient, and unorganized. Particularly the office manager. I will not mention any names to save her the embarrassment but honestly, if you are going to be representing a top of the line OBGYN practice and you have no people skills or are un-happy with your job then you should not be in your job. Furthermore, you should not be answering the phones, or dealing with woman that are waiting for important test results, having pregnancy issues or anything that could possibly be nerve wracking. I have read similar negative reviews on other sites about this office staff but chose to ignore it because I heard such good things about Dr. Giovine. It is unfortunate that such a good doctor is being represented by such poor staff. Everyone has their days and no one… is expected to be perfect all the time, but you really need to re-evaluate how you speak to people when you are dealing with the public. Especially in the medical field.

He is my favorite doctor!! Best care ever!!

Dr. Giovine is the most amazing Dr I have ever had. He saved my life and was with me and my family throughout every step of the way. I was in hospital for 2 months and he visited me every day to make sure I was doing ok. He is truly an angel. I am so thankful to have him as my doctor.

His office is not very on top of things. I've had a few negative experiences when I used his practice in Lakewood,NJ. His practice is so big and things just fall through the cracks. Yes, he won't rush you and will be patient but as a general rule-they are not on top of things enough.

Dr.Giovine is an outstanding listener & actually hears what U r saying!! He is compationate, empathetic, caring, patient & understanding!! NEVER RUSHES u thru an exam & will answer all of ur questions, always personally returns ur phone calls & amazingly remembers u! His bedside manner is the best I've ever experienced! He is sincerly genuine & honest! I've been thru a lot with him in the last 17 yrs. & He has been there 4 me every step of the way!!!

Dr. Giovine should be considered a role model for the top doctors out there. You won't find a better ob/gyn who truly cares about patients. He will call you back and he will remember you as his patient. He is the best with great bedside manner.
