Dr. Atul Syal, MD

The office staff don’t know left hand from right. They schedule apts for you only to call an cancel. The Dr don’t take the time to care for you as a patient an you end up with no answers to questions or test results! Never again.

Absolutely an awesome guy dr atul syal. Have been serious seizure-free for 5 years solely due to this man went through three other neurologist and they accomplished nothing within the first two months of me having dr. Atul zyal they were controlled. I would recommend him to any epileptic that is uncontrolled

FIrst several visits were fine expect font office messed up the date of the first appt. He ran several tests and spent time to explain them and I had good feelings about his expertise. Then I had what I think was a stroke and ti took 6 weeks to see him and then he acted indifferent to it and suggested another test with a 2 mo return visit time. I think that is too long to get him to review test results and see me again. I got the strong feeling he does not want to work with me on this new issue so I will get the test done and take the results to (hopefully)another Dr

saw many drs but he was the only person that knew what was wrong with me

I have been going DR. Syal for several years and I'm very happy and comfortable with him. He knows everything about me medically and listens to me when I explain how I feel. He is patient and allows me to try and explain what is wrong. He has never used his qualifications as a Dr.to force any kind of treatment on me that I wasn't comfortable with. He has always given me the best treatment and gets me to a Specialist if I need one. His quiet manner is calming and he is very confident which helps me to be confident. He has a fantastic sense of humor and is very easy to get to know. I have recommended him to several people and will continue to. I would trade all my Drs.but never Dr. Syal.

Needs to work on attitude toward patient, he's pretty arrogant, too serious, not so friendly as the other neurologists 've seen. But good at the job he does..

I actually look forward to going to Dr. Syal's office. His nurse/assistant always checks my vitals and spends a little time with me, asking about current medications, the reason I need to see Dr. Syal...etc. Just little things that make the actual appointment quicker. Dr. Syal comes in apx, 5 minutes later, always smiles and asks how I've been doing, sits down on that little stool and reads the nurse's notes - takes about 2 minutes, if that long. (She gives him enough information to remind him of my case.) I've been going to Atul Syal since late 2009. He has been wonderful! Very understanding and supportive. I do remember him earlier on....He is a little difficult to get to know. However, if you're with him as long as I've been, he's a friend. One of those friends I can respect wholeheartedly! You won't be disappointed! Oh - I still went to him at The Core. Terrible experience! But, they're gone, and he's back again!

The staff at this office filling prescriptions (they say they have 72 hours) to fax an order to pharmacy. How the frig hard is it to walk to fax machine and send order? Two and 1/2 weeks later and prescription was sent improperly. Office staff gives lame excuses. I've lost trust in this practice!! I would not recommend this office!!

I was impressed with Dr Syal when I first met him in the hospital E.R. He has been my doctor for about 8 years. I feel he is one of the best neurologists I have had and I have had many. He is caring and listens. I have not always had the best experiences with the front office staff but everyone else have been awesome.
