She has retired. She created tremendous damage working with traumatized patients. That a few people found her helpful does not negate her incompetence.

What a waste of my time

I am extremely pleased and thankful finding Barbara. Professional, Compassionate and Wise. She has helped me beyond words.

I will never forget how she treated me.

Out of touch. Could not explain treatment or provide logistical information. Bizarre.

Read her dissertation. She appears to believe that children seduce their predators. No research, just phenomenological study. Protects the parents, invalidates victims, and retraumatised me as a client.

Dr. Ottenhoff is an amazing therapist. I would recommend her to anyone, particularly around issues of abuse. Her empathy, insight, and trustworthiness are at a level rarely found.

Dr. Ottenhoff is a truly gifted therapist. I've recommended her often to my friends. I was able to achieve breakthroughs for my trauma and abuse that I never thought possible.

I like to give people a chance. I would not go back. I'm not willing to risk working with someone who has had multiple complaints and blames their previous clients for getting worse in their care. Irresponsible and unprofessional.

I have never had a better experience with a therapist. She is exceptionally insightful, kind and compassionate. I have and will continue to recommend her strongly to people I know. I could not be more satisfied.
