Dr. Benjamin Michael Brucker, MD

I saw Dr. Brucker today for post-surgical complications following a procedure that left me with a severed sacral nerve, confirmed in writing by a urology specialist who reviewed surgical video footage and documented his findings in a signed report. I brought that report with me. When I offered to share the surgical videos on which that conclusion was based, he declined to view them. Before asking me a single question, he opened with “so you didn’t like your post-surgical care from your surgeon,” a conclusion he could not possibly have reached from my chart alone. He repeatedly said “if your sacral nerve was severed” despite the written documentation in his hands. He refused to discuss biofilm, which is documented in my infectious disease record as a driver of my recurrent infections. When I declined an internal examination (literally asking only if he would be putting his fingers inside of me) because I had undergone one the previous day with another urologist, which has left me… limping from sacral nerve pain, and explained that yesterday’s evaluation confirmed no lesions or abnormalities, he stood up from his desk, said “just stop taking antibiotics, they aren’t working, just ignore your infections,” and started walking out. I said “so wait, you won’t be performing any kind of evaluation at all because I asked you to not put your fingers inside of me?” And he said “no, I won’t be and just ignore your infections.” He did not address the burning. He did not address my pain. He ignored my Nocturia (My bladder waking me up every 20 minutes to an hour because I have to urinate so much since surgery). He only suggested that I see a therapist instead of offering a treatment plan, and he left very quickly before I could ask another question. I left in tears, destabilized, and in more distress than when I arrived. I have since found many reviews describing this exact pattern going back years. I wish I had seen them first. If you have any sort of post-surgical complications, please choose someone who will actually make a plan, not gaslight your symptoms and one who will stay in the room.

No new patient reviews in a long time. Dr. Bruckner has too much ego. He keeps his professor hat on and chooses to teach instead of have a conversation with his patients. Maybe you should listen to the patient's experience. He says he doesn't have all day for their questions. He claims he takes a multi factor approach that considers the patient's needs... I guess he forgot his manners. He gets upset if he sees that you have an appointment booked with another urologist. Impossible to see what he's truly capable of when his ego is in the way

Dr. Brucker immediately put me at ease with his capable, calm, and engaging demeanor. The entire team made me feel reassured and in the best of hands.

I was too happy with the surgery the doctor did for me.

As a healthcare professional, I hold other providers to a very high standard. Ben meet and exceeded all expectations. I am so happy I selected him for my issue. I’m confident in his care.

I see Dr. Brucker for an issue with my urethra. He is the real deal. Smart, caring, and an excellent surgeon.

It was the 6th time around when Dr. Brucker injected me with Botox that I had a horrific experience. I have never felt so poorly treated by a physician!! Dr. Brucker's Botox insertion caused exactly what it's supposed to treat: overactive bladder; it was worse than before the Botox injections. I called his office everyday looking for help to alleviate my pain, bleeding, burning, urgency, and frequency in urination that I was feeling since he injected me!! Dr. Brucker NEVER returned my calls until my second visit to the emergency room (day 12 after the injection) that he called back. Needless to say, I will never return to or recommend him to anybody.
