Disrespect to patients.

I was a first time patient when I saw Dr. Simon. I had no idea what to expect after having a previous bad experience at Westmed. I found her to be very cordial and warm while at the same time smart, professional and thorough. She followed up immediately with arranging prescriptions and a test with no wait time. I found the entire experience to be seamless and I have a lot of confidence in Dr. Smith.

A few years ago, I switched to Dr. Simon because of her rating with Castle Connolly and Greenwich Hospital affiliation. My first visits with her were straightforward and fast. I wanted an IUD, she said she was going to order Skyla for me (first time IUD user, never been pregnant) but "accidentally" ordered Mirena instead. I didn't care and we placed the Mirena. That SHOULD have been my first warning that something was off, but I was happy to have the IUD. Fast forward four years, I'm back for my well-woman visit and I mention that I should get the IUD out soon. Her notes say I have Skyla, so I have to remind her that it's actually Mirena (sidenote - if it was Skyla, it would have been expired). She tells me that we can "take it out and pop another one right back in" without even asking me what I would like to do. I corrected her and said that my husband and I were thinking of taking it out completely and she apologized. She offered little guidance in preconception planning and left me… with more questions than I had come in with. She ordered an ultrasound to check my IUD and then never followed up with the results. I had to read the technician report myself. Anyways, the strangest part of the entire visit was that at the end, as I was still on the table, she came over to me and tapped me on the nose like you would to a 5-year-old. It was so bizarre. I'll be looking elsewhere for more comprehensive care as I step into the next phase of life.

I am traumatized by my experience with Dr. Simon. Too long of a story to write but the short of it is, I find out I am pregnant after trying for months. I start spotting a bit and thinking that was normal I called the office to see what they suggest. They tell me to come in right away just to check. I do an ultrasound so excited to see the little peanut and she tells me “yea I’m sorry I think you’re having a miscarriage. Either that or this is just an old machine.. not sure!” She suggested I come back in a few days to check my levels. Levels keep rising and she can’t figure out why since I had supposedly miscarried. Fast forward to maybe 6 to 8 weeks later and weekly ultrasounds, she calls me and says “so we found a mass in one of the ultrasounds and need to see you first thing tomorrow morning”. You can’t imagine the thoughts running through my head. I go in the next morning for ultrasound and to my surprise she calls me in her office and tells me very casually while eating a bowl of… cereal “you are having an ectopic. Go to the hospital and get the shot and we will talk soon”. I left there having no idea what an ectopic was but I soon found it how life threatening it was! I ended writing Dr. Simon an email expressing how I felt through this entire process and she shared that email with the other doctors in the practice without my consent! Since this traumazing event in my life I have received nothing but bills from this group for all the ultrasounds that she made me get for 2 months

I was a new patient, yet she spent under 5 minutes with me and talked as fast humanly possible while with me. I did not have the chance to ask questions I had planned to discuss. Felt like a fast-food factory.

This was my second delivery with Dr. Simon ... she is simply the best! Always is thorough in her care and answering questions ... extremely trustworthy. She also has a great sense of humor ... it put my husband and I at ease throughout the entire process.

I have been with Dr Simon for 10 years. She delivered both my children. Not only is she extremely competent, I was told by the hospital staff that she is one of the most skilled Obstetrician there is. She is also very funny and approachable. I could talk to her about anything.

Dr. Simon has been my doctor for the past ten years. For me, the goal of my relationship with my OBGYN was a healthy baby. From ensuring I was healthy pre-pregnancy, to helping us conceive when the time was right, to recommending tests in early pregnancy, to her phenomenal, thorough care every step of the way during my pregnancy...this doctor is the one you'll want on your team when you are dealing with the most precious event of your life. I'm writing this with my healthy six week old asleep on my chest - a gift that I thank Dr. Simon for. I could not recommend her more as a doctor or an advocate for women's health.

I am very satisfied with the care I have received with Dr. Simon. She is thoughtful, dedicated and thorough. I felt safe knowing that she was with me in the delivery room.

I became pregnant with my first child after having just moved to Connecticut. I didn’t have an OBGYN and was very fortunate to have found Dr. Simon at the Scarsdale Medical Group. I knew immediately upon our first meeting that she was completely on top of her game. She answered all of my questions in plain English and always made sure I left my appointments feeling confident that all was well with me and my baby. Scheduling an appointment was never an issue and she was always available to me via email whenever I needed to ask a quick question. Towards the end of my pregnancy, it became clear given a number of factors that I was likely headed for a long and difficult labor. My husband and I met with her shortly before my due date and discussed all of the possible options. By then I had really grown to trust her judgment. She had been right about everything along the way and had always given me solid, no nonsense advice. Once again she made sure I was informed and able to make the best… decisions for myself. When you go into labor, it’s so important to remember how to breathe and that things don’t always go according to your ideal birth plan. That said, I don’t think I could have had a better experience on delivery day and that’s because I was very fortunate to have Dr. Simon in the delivery room with me. She can handle any situation and I knew that. She brought my beautiful son into the world, as healthy as can be and for that I will always be grateful.
