I arrived on time for my appointment with Dr. Smith. I was greeted with a smile at the reception desk. I waited a very short time to see the dr. He explained everything thoroughly and told me that at this time I needed no surgical procedure. Check out was quick and very efficient

I had an appointment with Dr. Smith for hernia surgery. He gave me lots of his time in the appointment and answered all my questions. The surgery was a text book example of how to do a hernia repair. Following surgery I only needed pain pills the first night and have been recovering rapidly. I had my follow up appointment at two weeks and again Dr. Smith gave me lots of time for questions. I cannot say enough about the office staff, Dr. Smith and the procedure. I recommend him highly.

Don't go to Dr. Brian M. Smith (Naples, FL) for cancer surgery. He is listed primarily a hernia and gallbladder surgeon and my sister made the big mistake allowing him to try to remove cancer in and around her abdominal lymph nodes. Dr. Smith sounded good but he was frighteningly off base. For example, after the cancer surgery, he said he had "gotten it all, all that he could see." Unfortunately, you can't always see cancer like you see a gallbladder. Sometimes you have to look at the lab reports - which in this case, clearly indicated there was more cancer left behind. Maybe he didn't know (because he was looking for gallbladder sized tumors) or maybe he didn't care to look at the lab reports or maybe he wanted to paint a rosy picture. Bottom line is he gave his patient false and misleading information - failing miserably in his duty as a doctor to support my sister's ability to make informed health decisions. Similarly, Dr. Smith said it would only take a couple… weeks to heal, to get back on her feet. After two months the wound was still unhealed and weeping. He and his staff were rough and insensitive in handling her wound during the few followup visits. Worse, they were ineffective in helping it to heal. Mostly he just said to come back in another few weeks. It took a separate trip to a GP to find out there was an untreated infection in the incision that was causing pain and slowing healing. My sense is that Dr. Smith likes playing with knives but he is not a healer. His skill base is gross - at the level of removing gallbladders - not more what's needed for more nuanced cancer surgery. Give yourself (or your loved one) a better chance for survival. Find someone else to do the cancer surgery.

I highly recommend Dr. Smith. I have been a surgical nurse for 40 years, working with him for the last 6 years, plus I was his patient on two separate occasions which involved surgery each time. He is professional, knowledgeable and personable and I would not hesitate to go to him in the future.

Do not ever trust this "docter"!! Gave me a life threatning infection. Have been to hospital ER because of him. I am PERMEMENTALLY DISFIGURED. Been months and that I have literally lost my life because of this hack! Doctors that have seen what he did can not believe it! Please DO NIT LET HIM DO TO YOU WHAT HE DID TO.ME AND MY FAMILY!!!
