Dr. Bruce Lawrence Lieberman, MD

Up until the problem appointment in December, I would have given this doctor a (5) star rating. He was quite prompt and always spent adequate time with me. In December, I attempted an overdose of propanolol and was sent to the local hospital. During a urine exam, I tested positive for cocaine. And, I, having never taken the substance, ordered them to take it again. Again, to no avail. The nurse in the ICU, thought that perhaps my back pain medication was causing a false-positive result. Ergo, I decided then and there, never to take it again. When I was released from the psych hospital, I decided to schedule an appointment with Dr. Lieberman to get a differing prescription. I was looking for something that was NOT in the same family as the previous prescription. An anti-inflammatory would be just fine. Nothing heavy. And, yes. I told them all of that stuff. So, they knew all of that information. And, yes. Dr. Lieberman was the prescribing Doc. Somehow, this consultation to find a… different medication, turned into me NOT getting a different med. But, the Dr. pressuring for another urinalysis.... because he was curious. And, assuring me it would be covered. Not being on the problem medication, it did not come as a shock that I was found to be negative for Cocaine. The test was not covered. In fact, his billing people, wanted to add in the cocaine issue to push it through. Which I, in no way shape or form, wanted my insurance company to become aware of. I refuse(d) to pay for that visit. It's akin to going in for a strep test and getting an x-ray of your arm because your Dr. is curious. Note, again. I wasn't asking for a script for any hardcore drug. And, I had to re-call them to express my frustration(s) in order to get a script for an anti-inflammatory. Of which, I still have most of the bottle.

Have been with the practice since moving in the área 20 years ago. Also family members and several friends have joined them after our recommodation.

A patient for over 12 years....looking for a new physician. Will no longer tolerate rude office staff. I just received results for tests in the mail. The tests indicated that something was wrong with my health.....after 2 calls to the doctor's office a nurse called back to say that it was a mistake....it was someone else's test results. Did not receive an apology! Looking for a new physician.

DR LIEBERMAN NEEDS TO LISTEN TO HIS PATIENTS NEEDS, AND SHOULD FOLLOW UP WITH ERGENT PATIENTS INSTEAD OF LEAVING THE OFFICE FOR THE EVENING. JUST BECAUSE HE HASNT SEEN SOMETHING IN HIS "23 YEARS OF PRACTICE" DOESNT MEAN THE PROBLEM DOESNT EXIST. DR LIEBERMAN WOULD HAVE A MUCH MORE SUCCESSFUL PRACTICE IF HE HAD A MORE OPEN MIND.
