He gives older people things and red tags others unfair

I’ve been a patient for 2 years I’ve been trying to get a pain management referral, I had dignity health when I first came to their office, I thought they were taking care of my referral 4 moths later she hasn’t even sent it the referral! So she finally does send it and it keeps coming back as physical therapy approvals. I keep telling her I don’t want just physical therapy I want to send me to pain management and if he wants to send me to physical therapy that’s fine but it took me well over a year to find out the dignity health needs a physical therapy evaluation before the can send me to pain management because the doctor sending me isn’t enough. Plus no one in the office told me this when we kept resubmitting it! Then it took me the rest of the year to go to physical therapy, get the physical therapy evaluation to the doctors office because nobody knew how to send it to pain management, and finally get to pain management. And when I got to pain management I find out that they don’t… take my group and I have to go back to my primary care doctor. Now it is almost 4 months later and I still haven’t send me back to pain management and I find out that they haven’t even resubmitted another referral!!! And on top of everything Dr Alverez would not give me a prescription to my medication even though he said he would because he ran out of triplicates(what doctors officeRuns out of triplicates? An awful one) so I come back three days later after three people have told me that I could come pick up my script and Dr Alverez has changed his mind and he said I had to wait for my referral. I don’t even know if I will even get to my pain management through Dr Alverez because they’re taking so long if you ever think about coming to this doctor don’t!!!

Not a good experience from front office to back

Never even saw the doctor. Call center said I could be seen, when I got there the staff at the front desk insisted they did not take my insurance even though I verified with my insurance online and on the phone, as well as made an emergency switch to name Dr. Alvarez my primary. They would not shut up long enough to let me explain any of it. Beyond unprofessional - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Shafter office staff is interesting. The women and gentleman at the front desk are not very welcoming and demand copayment as if one would run out of the office prior to their visit. Found the medical assistants to be a bit childish and not too aware on professionalism. The older woman at the front desk is demanding and very pushy.

The Doctor is Great . I've been seeing him for years my mother and father as well. He cares for us and explains in detail . He has a lot of patients that want to see only him and While waiting I hear the comments and complaints about the wait time . I also hate waiting but it's well worth it and I won't be upset with his wait because as busy as he is he will never refuse to see us even if we walk in no appointment .

I was seen in his office in Lamont,Ca and had great customer service. Nurses was very helpful.

This place is ridiculous I have tried all day to make an appointment and I have called about 6 times today and everytime I wait at least 30 minutes then no one answers complete waste of my time

Well i called and made an appointment for 2:30 and i got there 10 minutes ealry. At 4 o'clock i asked the receptionist if she had any idea when i would be seen and she said do u mind seeing another doctor , I reply no i just have to go pick up my kids she says 10 min 40 min later after 2 people who came in an hour later than me got to see the dr i decided i would rather die from the flu then run my car thru that building so i left so why have appointment a two hour wait Is unacceptable and God only knows how much longer i wouldve been there!!!!
