Dr. Carole M. Dean has established the VOICE Institute specifically for the purpose of diagnosing,treating and curing voice disorders. Dr. Dean received her medical degree from Laval University in Quebec, Canada and completed her Otorhinolaryngology residency at Montreal University. In 2000, she completed a distinguished Fellowship with Dr. Robert T. Sataloff, M.D., in Laryngology and Professional Voice Care at The American Institute for Voice and Ear Research in cooperation with Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The VOICE Institute was founded by Dr. Dean and is equipped with a state-of-the art Strobovideo-laryngoscopy system. This system, mandatory for a comprehensive voice evaluation, is one of only a few of its kind in the southeast. Dr. Carole Dean's philosophy concerning the practice of medicine is very simple in that I she follows the Golden Rule: Do unto other as you would have them do unto you. Dr. Dean believes in what Sir William Osler stated, " The good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease."
