Dr. Charles Evan Argoff, MD

Had several appointments with this guy over the years. You would think Albany med would have a decent one. If they do, it is definitely not this rude, uncaring and self- contradictory individual. At one time I asked to transfer to another Dr in the group but was denied. So he got even ruder until I finally gave up. Again, I think they’re keeping him because there’s not much else to choose from in this area. There are a few out there though, so just make sure you steer clear of this guy.

This guy is a certified a#$h'le! He's dismissive, rude, uncaring, and incompetent. He also has memory problems, which might explain some of his attitude. Every time I mention his name to patients or medical professionals, it's followed by the words, "he's an a#$h'le." By literally everyone, and that includes other doctors who work with him. I was told by one of my doctors that she warns patients ahead of time that he is indeed, an a#$h'le, prior to their participation in the pain management program. He has more one star reviews on every platform than anyone I have ever seen, in any profession! He should have his medical license revoked! It is unacceptable for a doctor to treat other people this way, especially people who seek help for pain. His arrogance is shocking!

Never have I heard of any dr and his staff Of “ nurses” that Treat patients with such disrespect and cruelty! I recommend to anybody I know to go to another practice and I don’t know how this establishment is still in existence !!

Found him yo be rude. Doesn't listen just interrupts when you're talking. Disagreed with a Specialist I went to see without even examining me for the diagnosis. He was wrong and the other Specialist was 100 percent correct & solved the problems with the debilitating headaches I had been having for a year. Never went back to him. Worst doctor of any I have ever been to see.

After years of chronic pain and unsuccessful Dr. appointments, I was given Dr. Argoff’s name. With in ten minutes he had a strong idea what I had. After some serious testing he was indeed accurate. I sought out help from doctors over eight years and not one could figure out my medical problem. So grateful to finally have an answer.

I have had spine pain since 1985. Have a genetic liver disease and CKD(3), so I am limited as to pain meds that offer least effect on liver and kidneys. Thought appt would be about pain pump trial. He began y saying he knew nothing about me. He wanted to be sure the pain in my spine (6 spine surgs & collapsed spine syndrome) is not from some other root source. I was confused at first, but it was refreshing to see a doctor who WANTED to make sure. He did try to talk me out of the pain pump, saying effect differs from person to person. I don't believe he looked at recent MRI and related info I gave his nurse. I have no idea what the outcome will be. I just don't see where the trial would do anything but relieve pain. I told him I could be happy with 30% relief. We shall see. But He is definitely thorough, GR8CE

Went for cronic back ,made the mistake of telling him that I had lung cancer but I had been healed no more cancer,then he told me he needed a head cat scan when I asked him why I was told lung cancer goes to the head,he will not treat me with out it I left their crying I told him my oncologist would know if that is the case I asked him was told I am clean.now I am still in a lot of pain can’t walk and to afraid to go to an other dr.

No integrity ,money grabber.

Dr. Argoff was treating me for both migraines and fibromyalgia. He would not let you discuss both issues at one appointment. You needed separate appointments. That's some disgusting money grubbing. Look up the amount of drug company money for yourself and ask yourself if he can possibly treat you in an ethical and unbiased way. I left after a year. Of failed treatments, I might add.

Can't get any better dr. then him!!! I've been seeing him for a LONG time now, like OVER 8 yr. He's helped me tremendously and I KNOW he KNOWS what he's doing UNLIKE some of these other quacks out there!!! I'd ALWAYS recommend him to ANYONE! I LOVE his sense of humor and he perks me up when I'm not well. He does NOT like to give out Allot of meds and I'm VERY HAPPY about that! I think many want to see him just to get meds! This is NOT the approach he takes!!! So if you want that, then try another dr. as you Won't get that from him!!! I think he's an awesome dr. and I'd go ANYWHERE to see him for my health issues!! He SURELY KNOWS what he is doing for a dr.!!!!! His knowledge on things is phenomenal!
