Dr. Charles Norman Friedlander, MD

there can be no replacement for Dr. Friedlander, neither at concorde or at vanguard. it's hard for me to even acknowledge he is not my doctor anymore. he literally saved my life in 1990 dealing with a bizarre situation that happened to my deceased mother. there's no way I could have emotionally handle things without him and Dr. Neal Lewin. when both heard - there wear tears in their eyes, each personally called me immediately after learning. they both took me through the roughest patch of my life. he's just the kindest and caring doctor i ever met. i remember how he beamed with that twinkle in his eyes when he comes into procedure room - flashing his wedding band. i wish him all the best in his retirement years and for ever grateful for being his patient for over 40 years.

Since Dr. Friedlander retired I have been to two other gastroenterologists and neither one measured up to Dr. Friedlander. So frustrated with the care or rather the lack of care that’s out there. Really miss Dr. Friedlander.

My wife and I had screening colonoscopies performed today. Dr. Friedlander and his staff are warm, compassionate, and friendly. They made the experience comfortable and informative. We highly recommend this excellent doctor.

i have been dr. friedlanders patient for 31 years. i came to him as my last resort. i was written off by many "big" doctors, who simply couldnt diagnose the problem. here i am after 3 decades alive and well, enjoing life, my children, and granchildren. he is the finest kindest person around, unassuming, gentle and caring. please dont ever retire. i have recommended to many people in the past 30+ years, and they too are still with him. he truly is the cream of the crop

I'd seen four doctors and still had the problem, hurting all the time. Then a friend told me about Dr. Friedlander, "the doctor's doctor". True - so many doctors go to him - he's an internist as well as a gastro guy. Ten minutes in his office and he diagnosed the problem. I've been fine since, years now, no more trouble. He's not just the gentlest, safest go-to-guy for stress-free endoscopies and colonoscopies, he's the best. And the man is wise, patient, humorous and kind, sort of an Obi Wan Kenobi figure.
