Dr. Christopher Grainger, MD

I have been a patient of Dr Grainger for many years and his care has been very good. The office staff is kind and caring. When you need to be seen, you can always count on getting in quickly. Even the same day.

It seems that I am not the only victim of the very masculine and aggressive office manager. She is THE nastiest person in Ocala. Because I was a victim of identity theft I cover part of my d.l. number. I asked to not have it uncovered. When the manager heard this she was on the conversation ready for a fight. Almost I wanted was an explanation and assurances to my privacy. Instead she took my card out of the receptionists hand and informed.me that I will.not be seen by the doctor. When questioned and told that she was being nasty she said and I quite, "I'm not being nasty but I will have you removed." I was not being rude or aggressive. I walked out when she felt it necessary to educate me. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Dr Grainger doesn't listen to patients, and is quick to dismiss any comments by the patient. He is older doctor and rush's patients in and out with out thought or caring of the patient. The staff is much more friendly and caring then the doctor himself. Wouldn't waste my time with this doctor again.

Very rude nurse. Her name is Sarah. She has a very poor work ethics and slammed the phone as her way of hanging up. Does not listen to reason. Has no respect for fellow professional.

All medical questions were asked. Not very friendly but I could be wrong for it was my first visit. I am use of a doctor who knows me personality.

Office manager yelled and screamed at me, very unprofessionally,had me in tears, called employees at my insurance"flipping monkeys", refused to send a request for authorization to my ins . company,lied straight out about having spent countless hours dealing with me about this power chair and the list goes on. Also, the Dr spends very little time with patient.Complaint has been filed.

My options for doctors were limited as I cannot afford insurance due to Obamacare so I am paying out of pocket. Dr Grainger's office led me to believe that I would be able to make payments. There was no set schedule when payments were due, just that I pay as often as I can. My visits with Dr Grainger usually lasted 5 minutes - not including waiting time, of course. I have a condition that requires me to see the doctor every three months for progress checks and tests. When discussing certain aspects of my condition, the Dr did not even seem familiar with the basic terminology that my other doctors had been using for years. (Hypothyroidism is not a difficult concept. I took the basic science classes required to get my high school diploma and even I understood it when it was first explained to me.) The real problem at Dr Grainger's office? The office manager. This woman is hostile, flippant and refuses to speak to me as if I was a human being. I am 23 years old. No, I do not have… medical training, but I have been familiar with my condition since I was first diagnosed at 13. I am not a 5 year old who needs to be spoken down to. My contact with the office is now handled by my grandparents who first referred me to this doctor. Upon question the office manager of the status of my medication order - medication that I have been frequently told to not miss even a single dose as the consequences could be dire - she became hostile with my grandfather. When he asked to speak with the doctor, she refused to even put him through to the doctor's voicemail. This is unacceptable behavior. I would not recommend this doctor at all. Even if your life depended on it.

New patient with diabetes. Did not ask about blood sugars and did not schedule follow up blood work.

I went to Dr. Grainger mainly due his location, and have had several appointments over the last three years. This have usually been for general checkups. Over the last two years, the staff had shown little caring, has been rude, and acted as if the patient is intruding on their time.
